Last week Devon Lawson and I went out to catch clips of tricks we’ve been eying for quite some time now. Riding everything from the College campus up the street to the ledge at the bus stop on the corner. Felt good to finally get a camera out and knock out shit in our own neighborhood.
Here’s an edit that Jeff & I filmed in the hour we spent riding at the local school in our neighborhood. All shot on location in Gilroy California moments before we ate our Thanksgiving dinners. I did a little introduction in the beginning, so I wouldn’t to spend the time writing up a post that nobody is going to read anyways. Sit back and enjoy this dual edit of the current Wheel Talk Team, Jeff and I.
I’m currently in the process of uploading a video that Jeff Dempler and I put together while we were back home for Thanksgiving. The school down the street from our house (Luigi Aprea) is one of my favorite places to ride. I’m not sure if the Xup in the bottom photo is clicked or not, what do you think?
Here’s what I guess you’d call “the official video” to the 2012 AFC UPROAR Comp that went down last weekend. I teamed up w/ SKYLMT‘s very own Colby Elrick to cover the Pro Competition on the final day of the Expo. Shooting off of 3 different cameras, we were able to capture most, but not all of the truly amazing shit people were doing. I’m not sure what else to say, so I’ll just let the video speak for itself.
A couple of weeks ago I ran into Yohei Hayama and Hiro as I was riding home up the wiggle. Yohei came from Japan to SF to bomb hills, and kick it w/ the locals. I’m real glad I met up w/ them when I did and had a chance to cruise around on Yohei’s last day in town. Check out more from his trip HERE
Steven Jensen enjoyed riding w/ us in Seattle so much that he decided to come back to the Bay Area w/ us to catch some last minute clips for Shredwell 2. Mike Schmitt and I filmed w/ him for a few days in San Francisco, while we worked on wrapping up editing SW2. I’m sure glad he came back w/ us, because he has some of the most technical clips in the video. Be sure to check out Jensen making a heavy appearance in the friends section of Shredwell 2.
Here’s a couple screen shots I pulled from SHREDWELL2 of Mike Schmitt riding in down town San Jose. The dude standing next to him w/ the patch just wanted to come over and show the camera some love. The ledge leading into the Guadalupe River has to be the longest hubba I’ve ever seen anybody hit on fixed. Too many stairs to count, too locked in to care. Really digging that custom SW2 shirt he’s wearing.
Jeff Dempler has been on a roll lately after he started producing + editing his own web edits, and got picked up by Destroy Bicycles.
Jeff Dempler says a fond farewell to Specialized as he makes the leap to join another bike team that is TBA. This is his final edit riding the bike we’ve been such a huge part of for the last 2 years. I can’t wait to see what he does from here.
Here’s a couple screen shots of me riding this ledge we came up on off the freeway in SJ. There’s nothing better than stumbling upon a spot and finding out it’s all buttered up and ready. I’m just about done filming for a new web edit, and just need to wrap it up w/ a few more bangers. Should be done in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for that coming down the pipeline.
