Submissions have now come to a close, and we’ve read some truly inspiring stories. More than 300 people submitted, and we had a hell of a time sorting through and narrowing it down to just 1 lucky winner. We had Moms submitting for sons, girlfriends submitting for boyfriends, and even friends submitting for friends. With the support of a bunch of riders in his community, we chose Sacramento native Francis Roque as the winner for our New Bike For a New Year Giveaway. He’ll receive a Small Specialized PFIX as well as a limited edition Wheel Talk T-Shirt. His submission spoke a lot to us, and his friends entries for him said even more. I can’t wait to see his progression now that he’ll have a bike built to withstand a beating. Thanks to everyone who entered, and shared their story with us. This definitely won’t be the last time we hold a contest like this.
