Pulled this photo of Matt Rice’s PFIX build from his Flickr. This is definitely the cleanest PFIX build I’ve seen yet, especially considering it’s a Size : Large frame. Super fresh w/ those gum wall tires, and silver chain. For those of you who don’t know, Matt Rice runs Deal With It SF. He rides blades, Fixed Freestyle, and holds it down mad well w/ a Kendama. Head over to his blog and check his shit out.
Wheel Talk + Specialized are joining forces, and giving away a size Small PFIX for the new year. If you’ve been dying to get your hands on this bike, then now is your chance. Write us a comment in our post explaining why you have to have it. Short & sweet, long & thoughtful, write whatever it takes to get your message across, and this bike between your legs. Submissions end January 31st, and a winner will be chosen February 1st. Good luck, & we can’t wait to hear what you have to say.
A few weeks back I saw a Specialized PFIX in the wild for the 1st time. It belonged to 14year old San Jose native Marco VillaseƱor. I caught this photo of him on the way home from the SF Bike Expo on Saturday. I can’t tell you how stoked I am to see other kids shredding on the bike. That’s what the PFIX is all about, making it affordable so that more people can get in on this & try it out, without being held back by funds.
SADIO BIKES welcomes Scott Horton to the Team, as their newest addition to the International lineup. He’s been putting in work on his PFIX w/ Sadio Components ever since we got them in the mail a few months back. Scott pedals hard into everything he ride, and has some interesting tricks up his sleeve, the hop through the bars to peg ride being one of them. Check out his page on the Sadio site HERE.
Here’s a couple shots of Scott (Bottom) & Matt’s (Top) Specialized PFIX builds. Both of us are running the Medium sized frame, dual 26’s w/ a 2.2″ Compound tire in the front, a 1.95 Hemisphere in the back, Sadio Booster Forks, Sadio Riot Pegs, Sadio Pivotal, Specialized Pedals w/ YNOT Straps, & Sadio 175mm Swoop Crank Arms. I’ll film complete bike checks soon, but for now enjoy these photos from this weekend.
Skitch Clothing put together this epic video of Tom LaMarche shredding in Toronto & Montreal on his Specialized PFIX. Man he sure can whip around that bike unlike anybody else. Stoked to see some quality riding, and cinematography coming from Tom & Tom.
