Day One and we’re already sun burnt. Everyone is beginning to trickle in for the Prickly Pear Jam Saturday. It’s been 100+ degrees each day we’ve been here and I’m already in the market for an endless amount of sun screen, a bigger hat, and a sweat towel. We’ve wasted no time in getting broken off and feeling like death at the end of the day. Check out a bunch photos from the first day of our trip here in Arizona and be on the look out for more photos rolling out in the next couple of days.

It’s Super Bowl Sunday and we still don’t know who’s playing. This is the second time we’ve filmed one of these videos and it never stops being a riot. We ran into a bunch of wheelie boys, tossed around the old pig skin, and came up with a couple plays of our own. Press play and check out some screen shots below.
A couple weeks ago we all met up in SF and drove down a dirt road to this DIY skate spot we’ve been wanting to ride. We set up camp, hydrated, ate pizza, and shredded until the sun started to set and the fog rolled in. The mix of quikrete and graffiti made the ditch as slick as ice and took some getting used to, but after about an hour or so everybody figured out the footwork and was back in action. This definitely wasn’t the easiest spot to ride, but that’s what made it rad. We all had a killer time and are already figuring out the next trip outside The City.
Anytime we link up with Dave Beard, there’s magic in the air. Sparks fly, time stops and occasionally we’ll shoot a photo or two. All jokes aside, Dave is one of the most brilliant photographers I know. He rarely makes his presence known, and acts like a fly on the wall shooting things as they happen without coordinating with the people in the image. The results create a truly genuine depiction of the moment and have an incredibly natural feel. If you’re just surfing the internet, then I highly recommend you head over to his blog to check out more of Dave’s golden turds.

With the rain holding up for the day, we took advantage of the cloudy weather to ride in the eye of the storm we seem to be stuck in. Gus Molina took the ferry into The City to meet up with us and ride around Japan Town. Ramon Antonio & I both stacked a couple rail clips to add to the ever growing pile off footage we’ve been sitting on. Mike Schmitt found this hubba and thought he had a spot until the run up proved to be too short, so we quickly labeled it “wack” and moved on. As quickly as I mentioned it stopped raining, it went right back to dumping buckets and looks like its going to continue to do so for the rest of the week. Check out more photos below, or lurk through photos from some of the other Sunday adventures we’ve had in the past.

Considering the fact that Gus Molina and Dave Beard recently moved into our old pad on the island I thought I’d introduce them to some of the spots lurking around their neighborhood. Here’s a few photos that I took of Gus as we cruised around Alameda in search of a new building to explore or a new spot to ride. We ended up finding this ledge with angle iron which Gus did a few Levitator/Butcher Grinds before getting a flat in the sea of glass surrounding it. Luckily there was a bike shop near by, so we were able to fix the flat with ease and continue on our journey. I’ve only ridden with Gus a handful of times and am stoked to have him living here in the Bay Area. Be on the look out for more photos from our lazy Sunday later this week. (12.7.14)

Here’s some of the few photos I took during the Harness The Gnarness Jam that happened in Oakland a couple weeks ago. I focused on shooting video over photos and was lucky enough to have dudes like Kris Fay (Lockedcog), Mike Schmitt (TURF), Alex Gonzalez, and Ramon Antonio III around to shoot alternate angles throughout the day. Instead of each putting out our own video of the jam, we decided to combine clips and make a collaborative recap of the event. Here’s a little teaser Kris made to help give you an idea of what I’m talking about. Stay tuned because later tonight We’ll be releasing the official coverage of the first ever Harness The Gnarness.

Gus Molina brought some flavor to Red Bull Ride + Style, pulling tricks that most people would never even think of. Take this foot plant tailwhip for example. I’m pretty sure this was the only whip that went down this year, and I don’t think anybody expected it from Gus. Always great to see you man.
