ALAMEDA SKATEPARK SEND OFF

After more than 3 months of surfing the couches at our pad in Alameda, Dew Sippawit & Jaoa Danaikrit reluctantly flew back to Thailand last month. We celebrated their final day in the States by kicking back and cutting loose at the local skatepark. A couple of dudes from San Jose drove up the day before to ride and bid the Thai boys a proper farewell. We stacked a ton of footage while they were here, and just got back from a trip to China, so keep your eyes peeled for more of Dew & Jaoa coming in the near future. Read more and check out some stills from the video below.

WHEEL TALK JAPAN TRIP 2013

After nearly a year in the making and being put on the back burner in order to produce “Word Is Bond“, here’s the official video from the Wheel Talk Trip to Japan. Filmed over the course of our two week stay and was made possible because of our dudes from Fish & Chips Crew. After traveling around the Southern tip of Japan on a 9 State tour, and flying out to Tokyo to visit Marco we were only able to scratch the surface on what unreal street spots Japan had to offer. I don’t know if there’s much more I can say about this trip that I haven’t already, so press play and check out some screenshots below.

FILMING W/ MIKE SCHMITT

Mike Schmitt - Turf Bikes - Chain Link

Mike Schmitt - Turf Bikes - In Between Shots
Mike Schmitt & I have lived under the same roof for a while now, and have been stacking a ton of footage during that time. It makes it easy to film having somebody else who rides living one room away. Here’s some long angle shots I took in between filming clips across the East Bay. That’s our dude Jaoa Danaikrit crouched on the steps like a ninja with a camera in his hands. It was good having the Thai dudes in town with a second camera so we could shoot multiple angles on our weekly excursions. Keep your eyes peeled for the clips to accompany these photos.

ALEX GONZALEZ + BB17

Alex Gonzalez‘s Welcome to BreakBrake17 was filmed over the course of two days in San Francisco. I followed him around the city as we ripped around China Town, cleaned up trash down alleyways and bombed between the trolley tracks on California St. It’s rare to see people hopping around and doing track tricks on an aluminum frame. People now a days either ride track bikes built for speed or have transitioned into riding Fixed Freestyle. Alex is one of the few people who blends both styles of riding and shreds everywhere he goes. Stop reading, press play and enjoy.

ALEX GONZALEZ SCREEN SHOTS

Alex Gonzalez - BreakBrake17- SF 5
Alex Gonzalez - BreakBrake17- SF 4
Feared by both pigeons and pedestrians alike, Alex Gonzalez has a style unlike anybody else and rips around like a bat out of hell. Here’s a bunch of screenshots I pulled from when he came to film in San Francisco last weekend. This was the first opportunity I’ve had to shoot something track related since 2010 and had almost forgot how hectic bombing hills in the city can be. Keep your eyes peeled for the video to go along with the stills later this week.

DEW & JAOA | KOREA TRIP 2013

Jaoa Danaikrit just released another one of the sections he put together for Can’t Fool The Youth 3 (CFTY3). This one features Dew Sippawit and himself riding around South Korea after their stay here in The States last year. Jaoa does an incredible job capturing the spirit of the trip with good vibes & good tunes the whole way through. I appreciated the fact that there was a healthy mix of not only solid riding, but b-roll shots of the culture and the places they saw along the way. It made me feel like I was right there along with them as they explored what Korea had to offer. Check out some screen shots I pulled below.

THAI SAN FRANCISCO TRIP 2013

Jaoa Danaikrit just released this video from his & Dew Sippawit’s stay here in the states last year. They surfed the couches at our house in San Francisco for most of their trip and stacked up enough video to put together this recap which was used in Can’t Fool The Youth 3. If you haven’t already seen the full video, then I suggest you head over to Chop Em Down and pick up a copy of this limited edition press. I’m stoked that he took the time to put together a hardcover book to come along with it using. Jaoa nailed it with this one combining a perfect mixture of lifestyle and riding footage, the splendor of which almost brought a tear to my eye. Check out more of Jaoa’s videos over at A Tunnel Films.
