Jimmy Watcha has been riding for Pagan Bikes for a while now and just built up this wild iridescent frame with oil slick paint. I saw he posted pictures of it fresh out of the box on his instagram so when we met up to ride on Saturday I took a moment to snap these quick shots of it. Keep your eyes peeled for a full bike check the next few weeks.
The day before Michael Penrose drove back to his native land of Long Beach, I pulled his Bombtrack Dash out front of our house here in San Francisco and shot a couple quick photos of it. He’s made a few minor changes to his FGFS build since these photos were taken, and sent over THIS recent shot of his bike. Check out other photos below, along w/ a full list of parts.
RUFF Bike Co. recently dropped these GC Handle Bars along with a promotional Mixtape featuring their 4 man squad (Matt Spencer, Elliott Milner, Jackson Bradshaw, and Jacob Ruff). Immediately after watching the mixtape I dropped everything I was doing and headed over to their webstore to pick up a pair for myself. Their iconic design and 4 piece construction make them both hard as nails & highly recognizable. Before tossing them on my bike and taking them for a spin, I brought them into the studio and shot these photos of them fresh outta the box. If you weren’t able to snag a pair from the first batch, then keep your ear to the ground because word on the street is they have more on the way. Until then, check out more detail shots below and watch the video they dropped to promote these one of a kind FGFS bars.
I was digging through some old photos on my computer recently and came across these shots of Jaoa Danaikrit while he was living with us last year. I’ve made a ton of great friends through riding FGFS, and have had the opportunity to travel all over the world with the Thai boys (Jaoa Danaikrit / Dew Sippawit). The photo on top is at one of our favorite spots on off Market street. It’s one of those spots that you can hop up the curb and catch a quick line while commuting by. We filmed day and night with Jaoa while he was here and have a heavy section of him in the upcoming Wheel Talk video, so be on the lookout for that.

After riding the BOMBTRACK DASH for the last 6 months I can honestly say that it’s one of the best FGFS setups I’ve ever ridden. It’s a solid build fresh out of the box and comes complete with everything you need but pegs. The only modification I made right out of the gate was beefing up the gear ratio to something you can really crank down on. The small seat tube and tight wheelbase give it a real responsive feel, that has already boosted my confidence and elevated riding ability. I’m super hyped to be a part of the team and can’t wait to see where we take it from here. Read more below to see a full parts breakdown and a bunch of detail shots.

Ramon Antonio recently built up a new FGFS bike, so we took the time to shoot some photos of it before he runs it into the ground from everyday wear and tear. The definition of a Fixed Gear Freestyle bike has changed dramatically, and it’s wild to recollect on how the evolution of the geometry has changed over the last decade. This might be the farthest thing removed from where we originally started, and I’m not sure if this is the final solution, but it’s definitely a sick looking build and is on the far end of the spectrum. Check out a complete parts breakdown as well as more photos below.
I managed to grab these photos while we were roaming around the city filming for Ramon Antonio’s Welcome to the TURF Mob video. I still can’t believe that he was able to jump up that loading dock as many times as he did. I took on look at it, and knew I didn’t have hops like that. If you haven’t seen his section yet you can check it out HERE or on the TURF website. It’s riddled full of huge double pegs, toboggans, and suicide no handers. Be on the look out for more coming from Ramon now that we ride w/ him nearly everyday of the week. Head over to the THIETH Webstore for more great shirts like this one w/ the Nike swoosh.
Everybody loves a good bike check, especially if you’re in the market for new parts. That being said, I took this photo of Tadashi Nakamura while we were roaming around the city and asked him to provide a complete rundown of the parts he has on his bike. Check out a full list of specs below.

Ed “Wonka” Laforte has been in kahoots with Capone Bikes for a while now, and I’ve already seen pictures of his signature frame leaked on instagram. Kai & Young from Capone were incredibly welcoming and hospitable during our trip to Beijing late last year. Read more below to check out some exclusive photos of Ed’s Pro Model Frame as well as a shot of him doing what he does best, tooth hangovers.

I took these photos of Devon Lawson riding his FGFS build a while ago and figured I’d post a bike check for those curious as to what he’s on. If there’s one thing I miss about living in the East Bay its the endless amount of open space and industrial places we used to ride. I’m stoked that Dave & Gus moved to Alameda. It gives us more of a reason to ride some of these run down and abandoned spots. Check out more photos and read through the parts list below.
