GRIME PROTOTYPE BARS

Here’s a sneak peek at a little something the guys over at GRIME have cooking up. I don’t want to say too much just yet. I’ll leave it to them to fill you in with the details. But from what I’ve seen they look solid, and they feel great. Bar height seems to continue to rise, and I don’t know where it’ll end up. What do yo think, how high is too high?

My 6’4 buddy just switched to 3″ from 6.5″. the lower your bars are the further you can stand up while bunny hopping. I.E. Slam bars to waist, hop, tuck. On an unkown at that with its skyrise bb.

True. But having higher bars puts you in a more upright/comfortable position, you aren’t as slouched over the bike. It also opens up a few tricks that weren’t possible before (Turndowns) Take Phillip Williams’ lookbacks for instance. The Unknown frames do have a really low front end.

Tis true. Could take an inch or two off the seatube to give some thigh room with some 4″ and a grip of post.

Its great that there is such a variety of bars being made right now, it allows for every rider to find the bar that works best for their anatomical situation. My question is, How wide are they going to be? Its not hard to find a good Cr-Mo bar thats 3″-5″, the problem is finding some that are at least 29″ wide. ya know for the big dudes.
