MIKE SCHMITT | FRESHLY BUILT

Mike Schmitt is a madman when it comes to the big and burly. He’s always throwing himself onto the craziest hubbas and taking some of the hardest falls. Seitaro shot this photo of him racking a pedal feeble down a freshly built hubba here in San Francisco. Expect to see more of Mike in an upcoming Grime Video.

MATT REYES | CHURCH & DUBOCE

It’s rare to see me riding rails, but figured I’d catch at least one double peg clip for an edit I’ve been working on while the homies were in town. I wonder if the city knew what they were doing when they installed this steel playground along one of the muni stops in our neighborhood. Photo Credit : Seitaro Iki (top) & Dew Sippawit (bottom)

DEW SIPPAWIT | NOLLIE BARSPIN

A couple days ago I took this sequence shot of Dew Sippawit throwing a nollie barspin at the library here in The City. He has that trick better than anybody I’ve ever seen, and could easily be his signature move if he was a character in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. I’ve been filming with him a ton since he’s been in the states, and have stacked up more than enough to put something together. Be on the look out for a video of him shredding the Bay coming soon.

MATT REYES | WESTERN WAYS

A couple days ago we rode around the city catching clips and shredding some parts of town that rarely get ridden. This decayed abandoned building was probably one of the sickest spots I’ve ridden in a while. There’s not very many places in the city that have steel coping lining the ledges. Or have the Golden Gate Bridge lurking in the background for that matter. Top – 360, bottom – wheelie 180.

JAOA DANAIKRIT | SF SKATEPARK

What San Francisco lacks in skateparks, it makes up for in it’s street spots. There’s only one in the city that I can think of, this being it. Last week Jaoa Danakrit, Dew Sippawit, and the rest of the local dudes went and rode there while filming in the Mission. Jaoa laced this incredibly clean foot jam whip while we were there.

FILMING W/ DEVON LAWSON

I ride with Devon Lawson more than anybody I know. We’re constantly out filming and causing a riot around town. Now that we’re done shooting his Can’t Fool the Youth 2 Section, it’s onto the next film project. Our good friend Seitaro Iki took this photo of him hitting a line at Kezar Stadium a couple days ago. We spend so much time riding this spot, that now we’re forced to get real creative if we want to film anything.

RIDE + STYLE 2013 | SVEN JENSEN

I shot video in between heats of everybody during the 2013 Red Bull Ride & Style, but managed to catch a couple photos of Steven Jensen practicing foot jams during warm ups. He wooed the crowd by doing pogos in footjam for a minute, before riding fakie down the other side. Steven is the master of the funky combos and technical tricks, he’s always getting weird and pulling tricks out of his ass. Watching him ride continues to amaze me, and will always inspires me to be more creative.

MATT REYES | 1ST PLACE FINISH

I can’t even begin to put into words how stoked I am to take 1st place in the Freestyle event at the 2013 Red Bull Ride & Style. It was real rad to see so many international riders out here for the competition. This photo of Kenny Arimoto blasting me w/ the cooler came out too good. Definitely a refreshing way to cool down after a hot day of riding in SF. Check out the rest of Zach Franzen’s photo collection HERE.

MATT REYES | WALL TO STREET

I hit this wallride to gap back into the street on my commute home from downtown everyday. Commuter tricks are the best part of riding Fixed Freestyle. I spend more time crushing through traffic and hitting stuff along the way than I do riding spots. Photo Credit : Mike T Schmitt

MIKE & MATT | TRAIL BLAZING

There’s nothing better than mobbing around w/ your friends, it’s probably the best part about riding. Hitting obstacles as they come, and crushing shit along the way. Mike and I are constantly exploring Golden Gate Park by linking together different trails. We’re always stumbling upon new spots in locations we thought we knew well. My good friend and roommate Bryan Dempler popped off this photo of us crushing down one of the many off beaten paths.
