FRIENDS | SCREEN SHOTS

With only hours left on the clock until we release “Word Is Bond”, we decided to give you a final taste of what’s to come. Here’s a bunch of screen shots from the Friends Section in the video. Showcasing riders from all over the world, this collaborative effort is something that you won’t want to miss. Check out more screen grabs below. (more…)

MATT REYES SCREEN SHOTS

We’ve been gearing up for the release of Word Is Bond for quite some time now and have never generated this type of hype for a free online video before. Usually the only videos that have premiere’s are DVD’s, but considering the amount of time we spent making this monumental video, we decided to make an exception. Here’s some screen shots from my section to tide you over until the official release on 04.20.2014. Check out more screen grabs below.

HAMBONE | SCREEN SHOTS

Christian Hamrick collected clips for the Turf BikesWord Is Bond” Video while he was on the Coast to Ghost Trip and during a short visit he made to the West Coast. Hambone is currently living in Kansas City, a place which I’m told has unreal street spots. We might just have to make a trip out there to investigate these so called spots. If you live near San Jose, come out to the premiere being held at iMiNUSD on Saturday April 12th. We’re going to meet up and ride earlier during the day and then head to ID doors open at 7:30. Be there or be square. Circles only, no invite, all ages are welcome. Check out more screen shots below.

JIMMY WATCHA SCREEN SHOTS

Tonight we’re premiering “Word Is Bond” in San Francisco. If you live in the area you should come out to Lower Branch at 8pm & kick it with the rest of the Fixed Freestyle scene here in the Bay. Here’s some screen shots of Jimmy Watcha, as motivation to make it to the event. Jimmy may be the youngest member on the Turf Mob, be he holds his own and manhandles his bike like a lion tamer. Come see for yourself, we’ll be at this address HERE. Check out more below. (more…)

THANKSGIVING SCREEN SHOTS

I’m currently in the process of uploading a video that Jeff Dempler and I put together while we were back home for Thanksgiving. The school down the street from our house (Luigi Aprea) is one of my favorite places to ride. I’m not sure if the Xup in the bottom photo is clicked or not, what do you think?

SHREDWELL2 | CLOSE UPS

Pulled these close up screen grabs of Devon Lawson & I (Matt Reyes) from the Grime’s trip down to LA to film for Shredwell2. I went with the Grime team, to capture and contribute to the week long onslaught. Where Ed, Mike, Devo, Ant, Hambone, & I ran through some of the most famous Skate Spots in SoCal. Conquering what we sought out to get, and continuing to push limits of what can be done on these bikes.

BOOTHBY | SCREEN SHOTS

On Sunday, everyone’s favorite, Joshua Boothby made his way across the Bay to ride Street w/ Mike & I in SF. We managed to get in a few solid hours of filming before the sun went down on us. This curved hubba is one of the most beautiful left side ledges I’ve ever seen. Boothby put on quite a show for the tourists walking along the beach as he racked around this buttery ass Hubba in front of Ghirardelli Square. We even took a minute to stop and do interviews with a family for their home videos. Broke down what’s good w/ Fixed Freestyle in the Bay, and the world at large.

SCREEN SHOT | CADILLAC STALL

Yesterday a bunch of us met up in a parking lot across the street from the chrome store before we went out riding. We spent some time sessioning the parking lot, and this broken down Cadillac that was left for dead. Here’s a screen shot of Boothby stalling up on top the cab of the Cadillac.

SCREEN SHOTS | LAZY SUNDAY

Yesterday a bunch of guys from Stockton & San Jose got together to ride some of the of San Francisco’s famous street spots. We rode the ledges under the freeway, then made our way to 3rd & Army to ride until the sun went down. It’s been a while since I’ve ridden w/ a large group of riders like that. I can’t wait until it’s light out past 8pm, getting tired of the sun going down so early.
