Here’s a photo that I took of Devon Lawson posted up next to his Grime Ghost while we were catching some broll for his welcome to the Wheel Talk Team video. I don’t know what we should film for next, but after watching Southern Safari I want to go on another trip sometime real soon.
Zane just dropped this teaser for the 2nd issue of Can’t Fool The Youth. Devon has a full section in this issue, and there’s a huge chunk of clips from our trip to Seattle. I’ve grown to love that Chrome van after all the traveling we’ve done in it. Check out this video and you’ll see what I mean. I can’t wait to watch the full thing, which is going to be premiered at this year’s Red Bull Ride & Style.
It’s official Anthony Combs and Devon Lawson are the latest additions to the Wheel Talk Team. Their explosive style and killer ass sense of humor is what made them a perfect fit for the team. Not to mention the fact that Devo lives w/ me, and Combs is easily one of our best friends. It feels like less of a team and more like a family. Anyways, stop reading this and check out this video already.
I’ve been doing a ton of filming with Anthony Combs and Devon Lawson lately, and I think we’ve stacked up enough to release something which we think you’ll enjoy. Here’s a couple screen shots to help give you an idea of what I mean.
Devon Lawson, Steven Jensen, and Jonathan Davis did some riding at the Active Warehouse w/ the rest of the Us Versus Them skate team. It’s sick to see bikes and boards shredding the same spots together. That last clip of Devon and Drinkard breaking their shit back to back was too good.
On the ride home just now Devon Lawson and I passed by the Full House Park which caught the last bit of light of the day. We pulled over to catch some last min flicks before we headed home to call it a day.
Last week Devon Lawson and I went out to catch clips of tricks we’ve been eying for quite some time now. Riding everything from the College campus up the street to the ledge at the bus stop on the corner. Felt good to finally get a camera out and knock out shit in our own neighborhood.
Devon Lawson has been riding for iMiNUSD for about as long as he’s been riding Fixed Freestyle. He’s one of those dudes who came out the gate hard, and started crushing shit early on. I took this photo of him holding an Ice Pick stall while we were riding around the city the other night. I can’t even begin to tell you how stoked I am to have him as a roommate. Expect more from Devo in the very near future.
Yesterday Wheel Talk Road relocated to a pad in Japan Town and Devon Lawson upgraded from the couch in our living room to a bedroom of his own. Real stoked to have someone else in the house who rides Fixed Freestyle. I took this photo of him in Golden Gate Park the day before he moved in. Be on the look out for more content of Devo in the near future.
Here’s a shot that Lance Jeffrey Skundrich took of Devon Lawson throwing a quick barspin at the 2012 AFC UPROAR competition. Devon has the fastest barspins in the game, every one of which is dialed beyond belief. For those who have seen him throw em’ already know, but for those who haven’t, imagine butter melting over a pile of flapjacks on a warm autumn day. It’s kinda like that. Check out more photos HERE.
