MATT REYES | ROCK CLIMBING

Mike Schmitt popped off this photo of my doing a little rock climbing (wall tap 180) in Golden Gate just before we discovered that they gutted the dirt jumps hidden deep in the park. With more and more spots being torn out, we’re going to have to take matters into our own hands and start making our own. Time to go buy some quickcrete + shovels, and find a decent location to build.

KENNY ARIMOTO | SOUTH CITY

Here’s a relatively old shot of Kenny Arimoto racking a double peg down this 17 stair hand rail that we came across in South San Francisco. Kenny has been out from an injury he took at this years Ride + Style, and only recently started riding tough again. It’s good to see him back on a bike charging at shit.

JEFF DEMPLER | NOSTALGIC

Jeff Dempler sent me this shot of him riding at the school down the street from the neighborhood we grew up in. There’s nothing more nostalgic than coming back to a spot where you learned how to ride. It immediately takes me back to a more simple time, when all you needed was a basketball court or empty parking lot to have a good time. It’s good to see photos of Jeff still crushing it. JEFF DEMPLER | SAN JOSE LOCAL

Here’s a shot of Jeff Dempler riding in his current hometown of San Jose California. Nothing rocks my wrists like tucking off huge stair sets and drops, which is why I rarely ever do so. Jeff seems to have no problem throwing himself off this 8 stair at SJSU. I’m digging the look of that golden frame he’s been riding.

TOM LA MARCHE | CHICAGO

Tom LaMarche just dropped this video of him crushing shit in Chicago. He’s one of the few riders that I look forward to seeing videos of, his 360 off the garage is hands down the biggest I’ve ever seen on fixed. Big thanks to Rick Anderson and MurderB, who were there to capture all the mayhem. Photo Credit : Rick Anderson

MATT REYES | GAP WALLRIDE 180

Jeff Dempler popped off this photo of me hitting a gap to wallride 180 on these brick banks in San Jose this weekend. This is the 3rd weekend in a row I’ve stayed at his house in downtown SJ. I’ve been focusing on stacking clips for a new web edit now that I’m done filming for Shredwell2. It’ll probably be done in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for some new shit on my vimeo.

WONKA | FILMING IN PROGRESS

Lately I’ve been going back and forth from San Francisco to San Jose to finish up filming for Shredwell2 w/ Ed LaForte and the rest of The Grime Team. We’ve put a lot into the making of this video, and have explored some of the best street spots that California has to offer. We’re currently working on wrapping up filming and editing it, we’ll keep you updated as we go.

MATT REYES | THE HOTNESS

It’s great having a spot to session that is close to home. JeffyD has a school situated right down the street from his pad in SJ. His girlfriend Steph snapped off this photo of me bouncing in and out of this fence there, just before we packed up and headed home for the day. I love summer in San Jose. You can get an actual feel for “the hotness”, unlike San Francisco where it’s relatively cool all year round.

JEFF DEMPLER | COUCH SURFING

For the past 3 weekends I’ve been surfing Jeff Dempler’s couch while we catch clips and pictures with the rest of the guys in San Jose. It’s not the most comfy couch on the planet, but it’s a hell of a lot better than sleeping on the floor. Here’s a photo of him hitting an icepick stall on a ledge at San Jose State. Keep your eyes peeled for more media from my stay in the upcoming weeks.

ANTHONY COMBS + THE GRIME

The Grime just posted this photo that I took of Anthony Combs riding at San Jose State last weekend. Combs has some massive hops hidden away in those Nike’s of his. The man looks like a young Bruce Lee, flexin’ his woodgrain G.O.A.T up and over that handrail. Watching Combs ride is like watching a Gazelle get eaten by a Lion.
